BDouin Édition · Foreign Rights 2026–2027

Nine series. One studio. Every line drawn in-house.

An independent French publisher of comics and children's books rooted in Muslim family life, founded by cartoonist Norédine Allam, creator of the Muslim Show webcomic. Our books make children laugh while giving parents stories they trust — and every one of them is written and drawn by our own studio. Translation rights, co-editions and English-language distribution are open.

What is on the table

Nothing is licensed yet. One territory is closed. Rights are granted by language, and language is never the same thing as territory — so the two are written separately into every licence we sign.

Available

A catalogue with no licence on it

No translation licence has been granted on any title, in any language, to date. Arabic, Turkish, English, Malay, Urdu, German, Spanish and Bosnian are all open. Tell us the language you publish in and we will confirm it to you in writing.

One exception

French, excluding France

National distribution in France is held by Sofiadis. French-language rights remain available everywhere else — Belgium, Switzerland, Québec, the Maghreb and francophone Africa.

Reserved

What a translation licence does not include

  • Audio and audiobook
  • Digital and e-book
  • Film, television, animation
  • Merchandising and licensing

A film — Walad in Madinah — is in preparation, which is why audiovisual rights stay with us.

What we bring

Four things that lower your risk

  • 37 titles already translated into English, four of them already published — and on the comics lines, print-ready interiors proofread by a native British editor
  • Our books are printed in Türkiye — we can produce your local edition at cost, on our own plates, with no setup on your side
  • Marketing material you can localise — social-media assets, newsletter content and promotional artwork, made in-house by the studio that drew the books, so your launch looks like the books
  • Titles eligible for the Sharjah translation grant

Four titles published in English. Thirty-three translated and waiting.

37 of the 41 titles have already been translated into English — all eight Guides, the four Muslim Show collections and the collector volume, the eleven Foulane Family volumes, the three Walad & Binti volumes, both Walad Discovers titles, the first three Fix-it Agency volumes and the Awlad School Arabic method.

Four of them have already been published in English: The Foulane Family volumes 1 and 2, and the two Umrah volumes, 10 and 11. The other thirty-three are translated but have never been published in that language. The translation is done and paid for; the English-language market is untouched. For a publisher or a distributor, that is the whole list available at once, with the slowest and most expensive step already behind it.

Four titles are French-only today: Dialogue, and Fix-it Agency volumes 4, 5 and 6. Tell us your language and we will tell you exactly which files ship and what a translation would cost to produce. Titles with an English text are marked ■ English text throughout the catalogue.
